FOCUS AND SCOPE


ABOUT JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND FISHERIES(JAFF)

The Journal of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is hosted by Faculty of Agriculture, University of Benin Benin City, Nigeria, It is a medium for the advancement of all aspects of Agriculture and food production/saftey. It accommodates General agriculture, Agricultural education, Agricultural economics and extension, Animal science, Aquaculture/ Fisheries and aquatic resource management, Crop science, Food science and technology, Forestry and wildlife production and management, Soil science and Biotechnology and other related discipline.  We encourage relevant interdisciplinary research and submissions (i.e., research from more than one discipline and of value to Agricultural researchers and mankind). The journal also considers Scientific research that is of exceptional quality from such disciplines as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, ICT, and the like as they relate to Agriculture.

The journal welcome timely, original, high-quality scholarly articles of appropriate length in all areas of the sciences as related to agriculture and food production/safety research, broadly construed.

The primary goal of the editors is to maintain high quality of the publications on theoretical developments and practical applications. Original research papers, state-of-the-art reviews, and high-quality technical notes are invited for publication.

 

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Articles submitted to JAFF for publication are usually subjected to a rigorous blind pair review process. At least two experts will review the submission. Everyone involved in the review process will hold all information contained in the paper as confidential until publication. Peer reviewers are usually asked to submit their review within two weeks.

 

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY

JAFF publishes two issues yearly. First issue is usually between April to June and the second issue is Between August to October. However, the frequency of publication is usually increased when articles are available.

SUBMISSION

All article must be submitted to JAFF for pair review and consideration through the journal or editor- in- chief email address or journal we site. Only accepted articles after review will be published in hard copy and online following payment of handling and page charges

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

The Journal of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (JAFF) provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Please note that the authors retain the copyright to their work and that the Journal of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has the right of first publication of the work.

 

All content of the Journal of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives License. This license allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal. The license also prevents others from using the work for profit without the express consent of the author(s). The license also prevents the creation of derivative works without the express consent of the author(s). Note that derivative works are very similar in nature to the original. Merely quoting (and appropriately referencing) a passage of a work is not making a derivative of it.

 

ARCHIVING

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
